Meet the Southampton Township School District Board of Education Candidates

I have called Southampton Township home for 13 years and am the proud mother of Addison (Addy), a fifth-grade student in the district. Much of my free time is spent cheering Addy on at softball games and volunteering at Southampton Township Schools PTA events, where I have enjoyed connecting with students and families throughout the community.

With over 15 years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, I worked my way into my current role as a Program Director at Bancroft through hard work, dedication, and hands-on experience. I oversee multiple residential programs, manages staff and budgets, and advocates for the individuals I support. My role often requires navigating challenging situations, making difficult decisions quickly, and evaluating the facts to determine the best course of action. Having a family member with a disability has also strengthened my passion for advocacy.

I serve as Chair of the Southampton Township PTA Fundraising Committee and as PTA Treasurer, helping organize fundraising efforts and oversee the PTA's finances. I also volunteer as a Cub Scout Den Leader.

As both a parent and taxpayer, I value strong academics, transparency, responsible spending, and open communication. I believe in listening to different perspectives, asking questions, and making informed decisions while keeping the best interests of Southampton's students at the center of those decisions.

Born and raised in Southampton, I attended our local schools and now have a son enrolled in the district. This community has been an important part of my life, and I want to help ensure our schools continue to provide a strong foundation for future generations.

I have dedicated 20 years to public service, gaining experience in leadership, public administration, and finance. My current role as Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer of a public utility authority, combined with my background as a school district auditor, has strengthened my ability to exercise sound judgment and make informed, responsible decisions.

Our community deserves experienced, forward-thinking leadership on the Board of Education. I will be an advocate who listens and ensures everyone’s voice is heard. My priorities include elevating student achievement, supporting our teachers and staff, maintaining open communication, and ensuring fiscal responsibility.

I am committed to serving our district with integrity, accountability, and transparency.

I have been a resident of Southampton township for 27 years.

By way of formal education, I graduated from Union College (Schenectady, NY) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a Master of Science degree in Computer Science.

I attended public high school in Basking Ridge, NJ. While attending Ridge I participated in both basketball and track; being selected All-County in both sports. I continued playing basketball while at Union College.

Professionally, I have worked in the technology, marketing, advertising and financial fields for companies of various sizes including Fortune 100, midsize, and startup. Currently, I provide financial advice and guidance to business owners, families, and individuals.

My beliefs in the importance of education align closely with the mission of the schools in Southampton. Specifically, to educate, empower, and inspire students to be successful global citizens.
