Gregory Sobocinski

“Sharon’s commitment to education and advocacy spans over 25 years. It was through her involvement with her children that she first volunteered at a local PTA meeting during the 2000-2001.  She had no idea that a single meeting would ignite a lifelong passion for advocating onbehalf of children and families.

Since that first role with the Southampton Township PTA, Sharon has held numerous leadership positions at every level of the PTA. Locally, she has served as President of the Southampton PTA and President of the Seneca Parent Group. At the county level, she served as President of the Burlington County Council PTA. Her leadership continued at the state level, where she has served the New Jersey PTA as Region Director (overseeing five counties), Vice President of Advocacy, and Vice President of Leadership Development. In April 2023, she was honored to be inducted as President of the New Jersey PTA.

Throughout her PTA and Advocacy career, Sharon has earned numerous awards which include a Proclamation from The Honorable Senator Jean Stanfield, Seneca Volunteer of the Year Award, National PTA Lifetime Award and the New Jersey State Lifetime Award, which was presented from Southampton Twp. PTA.

Professionally, Sharon brings over 30 years of federal government experience, having worked for multiple agencies in the areas of Public Affairs, Budget, Finance and Accounting, and Equal Employment Opportunity. She currently serves as a Human Resource Specialist at the U.S. Office of Personnel Management. Sharon earned an Associate Degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland.

A proud resident of Southampton for more than 25 years, Sharon lives with her husband of 34 years, Charles. Together, they have four children—Deborah, Rachel, Nathan, and Caleb—All of whom graduated from the Southampton Township Schools and Seneca High School.”
